Bought this for a car camping setup in my 2019 Crosstrek. Debated a few alternatives to 'fill the gap' between seats to provide me more usable space to lounge. Other options considered included inflatable gap fillers (wastes otherwise usable space), plastic storage bins (not going to need for every trip).
This was the best option for me, since it allows you to extend your sleeping distance over the gap while still leaving room below for flexible storage (e.g. shoes, ski boots, miscellaneous items). Plus it packs and stores easy!

Unexpectedly handy in many ways
I love my Bivy so much that I keep it up most of the time. It hides valuables by creating a "semi-sealed" storage unit in the back passenger's feet area. On my 2-month road trip, I slept like a baby in my Subaru, better than a bed thanks to the Bivy. Saving me a lot of money! I put bins of my gear, food, and clothing on one side and slept on the other. Since I'm a bit tall for my car, I slept on a slight angle, but the Bivy allows me to do so very well.

FANTASTIC... with one modification...
Got my Bivy and discovered my Outback doesn't have the restraint bars on the rear seats, WHOOPS... luckily found a work around through a Subaru forum, and my roadtrip using this Bivy w/ a LUNO mattress was so much more enjoyable keeping all the extra storage space behind the front seats!

This really was perfect. It is genius how it works. It allows for the space underneath your head to be utilized. It is well made.
